We spun over the water and zipped around near(ish) Alcatraz and saw some great views of Frisco from the water. We stopped temporarily for taking photos. Then we really 'took off'. It's an exciting ride and great on a sunny day. I'd recommend it.
They didn't take us under the Golden Gate Bridge though. But they did advertise a separate...

For $19 (with the $5 coupon we found in a guide) this was worth the time and money. If you've got someone in your group who is into thrill rides and wants a break from walking around looking at historic sites and shopping, this is a great activity.
You do get a little wet, and you definitely get spun around...

We spent a day around Pier 39 just walking around, shopping, and taking in the sights. We say the advert for the RocketBoat ride and both of our teen boys wanted to do it. What's not to like? 30 min, $24.95 each, and we are on holiday. Sure why not.
Also - Wear warm clothing!! The wind on the bay...
