It's just a city park with a lake (pond) & paddle boats. There is a museum for those who choose to go. The Bison totaled about 6 and we could barely see them as they were laying down and far away from the viewing area. I saw one man made waterfall and a dutch windmill that had no explanation as... I could spend hours there. I wish every city had something like this. Flowers, trails, forests, even a little glimpse of the Pacific. I just love it. I just wish there was a dog park in there somewhere where if I ever lived in SFO, I could take my dog and let him enjoy the scenery off-leash.

The world's largest dutch-type windmills, beautiful grassy meadows, a great fine arts museum, a noted scientific academy with a marvelous aquarium. A conservatory of flowers from the 1800's. The park is especially bike friendly, especially on weekends. The Japanese Tea Garden is exquisite and remains a primary San Francisco attraction. Walk around Stow Lake and you will never feel more... More

Too bad we didn't have time - you should spend an entire day there visiting all the museums and stuff. We went to the Academy of Sciences. It was awesome

It's pleasant, it's green, good cycle lanes, but nothing really that special to set it apart.

I grew up picnicking at the park, walking from one end to the other. Visiting friends, going to the Museums and more. You can drive through and make a day being at the park. Don't miss out and ad this to your trip.

The park is about 5km long. It has a Japanese and a botanical garden. Ride your bike through the park until you see the ocean. The Dutch windmill reminded me of home
