The whole drive can take a long time - do the part that's closer to the touristy stuff. Bring your own map, many of the signs are missing.

The 49 mile Drive is very scenic, however, San Francisco itself is only 7 X 7 Miles so one could easily pedal around now-a-days. The route begins near City Hall at Hayes and Van Ness. Check Wikipedia for more details.

I have enjoyed doing this drive even though I'm a local. This drive reminds me of so many good things about my home. It's beautiful and you will enjoy the many sights.

Aside from too many people in one gorgeous place, the SF Bay Area and the Golden Gate Bridge are one of my favorite places that I have viewed.
