The NPS does a good job with an historic and beautiful spot. Nice to be able to walk and sit there after the day tourists have all left.

If one is into the civil war than this historic town of Harper's Ferry is worth checking out. There is lot's of walk and several book stores dedicated to information about this conflict from the 1860's. It is also a National Park Service Historical Site and don't have to pay admission to the various buildings in town. Lot's on information... More

If you are a civil war fan this is a good place to visit. Interesting interpretations. Lots of info about John Browns raid. Close to Charles Town where Brown was tried and hung, also close to Antietam Battlefield and other Civil War sites
