Think this something else like a haunted ride or Paranormal TV show fan site. 2. Came to make fun of and criticize us and our other guests. 3. Are very skeptical and were dragged here by their other half. 4. Found one thing wrong and let that be the whole basis for them not having a good time. Regrettably, the 10% have the animosity, hate and bad attitude to write a review more than the "normal" 90% of our guests who have lives. Some of the negative reviews are also from people who came drunk or high. Others felt we didn't cater enough to "just them". We remember all of the people who ever said anything negative because they were unruly or oddly disinterested when everyone was having a blast. So, please, keep an open mind. Come and have fun. Harpers Ferry's most haunted house is also America's premiere paranormal research and training facility! Historical ghost tours available. Real paranormal investigative training. The best resources you are likely to find anywhere! We offer tours of the haunted Booth House, overnight investigations and classes on the paranormal. We have, as of August 2011, a new Exhibition of the Supernatural! Although ghosts and hauntings are always out main focus, the Supernatural Exhibit will offer something for everyone with a taste for the paranormal! « less

I agree with Elisa. Don't wast your time or money. I am not sure what was more comical, the seven of us dressed for a backyard baseball murder mystery or the other 16 dressed for a nice dinner out. None of us got what we were expecting! What we got was almost 4 hours of boredom, there is no mystery... More

We purchased 8 tickets from Groupon for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. We didn't received that!. We saw on the information online that it was going to be a backyard baseball Mystery, so we dress for that, We didn't received that! We got information about Jack the Ripper...Who thought Jack the Ripper came from Harper's Ferry? It was the worst... More

I was there the night the management claims there were people there that weren't supposed to be there. In fact, there was a large party who never showed, so in total, there was only 12 people there. I do believe they made a mistake in the amount of people they allowed to "reserve" the night, but thankfully, that large party... More

Saw some positive reviews on this site that allowed me to take the chance and try to make a night of it. I took my girlfriend, friend and his wife. We were disgusted as soon as we walked in. The dinner was served on pull out tables, fold up chairs and all of it was covered in cheap plastic covers.... More

This is not a fair telling of what a usual dinner is like. That night, guests brought extra people with them! That is why we had to use the extra tables. We tried to accommodate everyone without creating a scene by kicking people out who weren't supposed to be there. We asked everyone if this was OK and we would... More

We had a great time and we recommend the ghost hunting over night. Don and Vince are very knowledgeable and provided a very fun night. Our only negative comments are connected to the bathroom, which needs a deep cleaning and the kitchen which smelled of food. This does not take away from the over all experience but they should hire... More

We purchased the groupon for the overnight ghost hunt. We went with another couple and there were two other couples there. Vince was very friendly and knowlegable. It was a fun experience but there are a lot of improvements that can be made. It could be cut down to 4 hours instead of 8. A lot of the time was... More

I appreciate the comments except, once again, there are no cats here. There was a stray that hung outside the house. There is no litter box, no dander and no cats in the house anywhere. Please, if you have cat allergies, remember there is a psychosomatic side to it. The cat the hangs out in front is not ours. We... More

Having been around plenty of kitchen table ghost hunters, and having been on plenty of ghost tours, I wanted something different in a likely haunted location. As a Civil War/history enthusiast, being able to have an evening like this in an historic house was just the ticket. I didn't come looking for the same Gettysburg ghost walk experience, and I wasn't... More

We went to the Haunted Cottage for an overnight tour (eight hours). I will say, thank God we had a Groupon which brought the $80 per person down to $40 per person -- but even at that, I walked away very unsatisfied by the experience. The first 30 minutes of our tour was spent with the proprietor railing on against... More

My friend got this a a groupon. If you go into this expecting quality-RUNThis is meant for you to arrive in your garage cleaning clothes&as if your neighborhood teens put on a free boring house tour.We used the owners personal bathroom which is like using a 1920's derilicts porta pot.The owner is very polite& means well but is clueless along with... Polite? The commode is recessed to accommodate taller guests. It is also less than a year old. It is a clean and modern bathroom. We let our guests use our own restroom so they won't have to use the one around the corner at the laundry. We have very nice, but modest displays on the paranormal. No clutter. We stand... More

I bought a groupon (2 tickets for $50) and arrived at the booth house in dressy clothes, heels, and hungry. it does seem that Vince has done a lot of research on history and the paranormal, for which i give him credit. i think the booth house should be a museum rather than a ghost tour because he is knowledgeable...
