This museum has recreated Woonsocket from its beginnings. A must see for anyone interested in Rhode Island's history.

Well done and interactive look at the days of mill workers and child labor in New England. Quite a pro union slant.

I went ten years ago, then again in October 2011 and was very impressed with the new displays. The museum gives a "slice of life" perspective on the immigrant workers of the industrial revolution in Rhode Island, applicable to all workers of that era. I visited the Museum with my sister and brother, on Sunday August 17th, 2003. We received a cordial greeting fom the couple who manage the facility. We also spoke at length with the gentleman in charge, who had much to tell us about Woonsocket's rich heritage in Mill History, and Union Development. The exhibit itself, is a walk through history.... More
