Just got back from visiting the Biltmore yesterday. After driving past countless home of the unwashed masses, we could hardly contain our excitement to see the big house. We finally went to Biltmore after passing by it for several years. It was AMAZING! We stayed at the Inn at Biltmore which is a destination by itself - amazing views and service. The Biltmore Estate is an amazing private home. It is unbelievable that a single man could conceive of building a 250 room home and put in the "new" inventions such as electricity, indoor plumbing, a bowling alley, and an indoor pool with underwater lights. more

This was a fabulous place! We spent all day on the grounds and did not see everything. We spent 2 hours touring the house. The tour is self-paced and for $10 you can get the audio tour.
