Small museum, not much of note. But it's on the same street as some of the local art galleries so if you're in Asheville looking at art, you will probably pop in if there is a special exhibit going on.

Not worth going out of your way for. Nice art pieces, but not my thing. I like art but it was boring if you ask me.
Did not find this museum very interesting. They had 2 pieces that were something to "talk about" and everything else was the typical art museum kind of pieces. Would not tell anyone to visit and pay money for this museum!

My personal experience was wonderful! I saw a very charming exhibition on Children's Book Illustrations and I also saw a Chuck Close, a John Singer Sargent and an Andy Warhol. They have an incredible Annie Leibovitz photograph of Laurie Anderson that was fabulous! From start to finish it was a beautiful experience. As for the Security Guards, they just seemed...

It ruined what is not that inexpensive of a thing to do. I would dissuade anyone from going to this unless you're willing to add an extra member to your...

In terms of collection and facilities, about what you'd expect for a small-town art museum: a heavy air of local boosterism, brought to you by local worthies wanting to feel their town is up to snuff. The permanent collection had a few interesting pieces and I was lucky enough to catch a very good visiting exhibit of painting of diners...
