I loved this museum as a kid, but it has not been kept up such that the exhibits work right, etc. Even worse, the museum offered hands-on activities for the kids (like coloring and kite making), but the room can only seat 20 AND parents count! The Boston Children's Museum is great fun for kids and their parents. However, the museum is not a large place so when it fills up, the interactive exhibits become too crowded to be enjoyable. Perhaps they should institute a policy whereby only a certain amount of people are allowed in at one time. As well, I was disappointed to learn... more

This is one of the greatest place for any family with kids to visit, and we came all the way from New Jersey to visit it; the time was well spent, and all of us had a wonderful afternoon there. The Children's Museum is an awesome place to take kids under the age of 8. There is a new rock climbing wall for kids 4-8. There is a water area (be prepared to dry off your little one here!) and a cool grocery store for kids to shop and work at. They also have story shows where children from the... more
