We loved our duck tour. It is a great way to get your bearings in a new city and learn many fun facts. Our tour guide was Frim Jolly "The Good Time Guru." So yes, it's very touristy, but it was actually a great way to start our trip. We took the tour from the Science Museum (easily reached by the T) after arriving in Boston on Friday afternoon. This is a good way to get an overview of Boston, do it early in your trip. We choose it because it offered both an on land and from the water view but the view from the water is very token. My wife and I took a Duck Tour on our 1st full day in Boston. We did a 9.30 tour having just turned up at the Pru Center - I thought we were lucky to get a ticket for the tour as each Duck has about 24 seats but on arrival there must have been about 6 ducks ready to... more

Our guide was Tim Burr, a Canadian lumberjack. He was great-funny, informative, polite. He allowed people to "drive" the boat while in the water all while keeping a running commentary going. He called Sunday "triscuit Sunday" and threw triscuits at nearby people (it may sound stupid, but he was hilarious and made the "downtown" between sites quite entertaining). I would... more

This was the highlight of our trip. The tour guide was funny and informative. We loved the street tour of Boston, and were delighted when it turned into a boat and we got a view of the city from the water. Truly a fun way to see Boston- don't miss it! more

An excellent way to get an overview of the city both by land and water. The tour is a perfect length; 90 mins. The tour guide/drivers are knowledgeable and amusing. more

We recently traveled to Boston for a daytrip on the kids' school break. We decided to try out the Duck Tours. We bought our tickets online which went very smoothly. Rode the Boston Duck Tour @ 5:00 PM in mid-April ... Sat on the open back deck, so it was a bit chilly, but a great ride anyway. Typical corny shtick from the driver/guide ("Air Time"), but he really knew his stuff and made the ride fun and interesting. Teenage daughters even thought so.
