The Boston MoS is one of our favorite places to spend a day; we bought a membership this summer and we've gone several times since then. We especially like the Dinosaur area (Cliff The Triceratops is a rare and wonderful example of an intact Triceratops fossil), the Human Body area, the theatre of Electricity and the natural world exhibits. Most... more

I have been a member of the MOS for 7 years and have had the opportunity to take in many of the traveling exhibits that have been offered there. The Star Wars exhibit a few years ago did a good job, not a great one, of making you feel like you were really there. This time around, with Harry Potter:... more

This was one of my favorite places. We would have spent two days there. Because it closes at 5:00 we did not have time to see what we wanted. This is so interesting and chidlren would love it. more

As fans of Harry Potter (read all books and seen the movies), my family enjoyed the experience of the special exhibit. I would recommend the extra $4 for the audio -- simple to use and enhanced the experience. As a member, I generally visit once a year and there is always something that catches my attention. My kids (143 &... more

We took our 4 kids ages 7-13 for a Saturday afternoon. We didn't do any of the movie presentations and we still didn't have enough time to take in all the exhibits! And I mean that as a good thing. Normally in a museum there's at least one area that's easy to pass over quickly. But here, every area we... more

Let me start by saying...I've been coming here since I was a kid....not much changes in this place. The same tired exhibits...if it wasn't for the Lightning Show in the Theatre of Electricity, it's not worth returning, unless a special exhibit is on display. Fortunately, my last visit (last weekend) was part of the Smithsonian Museum Day, and was free... more

We went to the MOS yesterday and found a presentation of puzzles in the robotic area, very interesting, challenging and exciting. Highly recomended. This presentation with hands on experience is available only on Saturday afternoons. more

I visited the museum yesterday and was totally blown away by the workers. On more than one occasion, a worker was walking by and noticed that we were puzzled about something and would stop and help us even though it was not their department. I was impressed. more

What attraction can hold the interest of a 14 year old reader, an 11 year old adventurer, and two 48 year olds? Our family plans a trip to the Museum of Science any time we have a "free" day. This trip, we spent time seeing how animals see the world and learning all about black holes. Last trip, we learned... more

We spent five hours here on a Sunday (go when it opens and beat the crowds) with our 9 year old son and 12 year old daughter. We didn't do any of the add-on attractions and found the museum the best science museum we've visited (way better than Chicago's). All the attractions that had "hands-on" things to do actually worked!!!... more
