We revisited Franklin Park Zoo today and once again were quite pleased. The Zoo is nicely spread out over 72 acres in the middle of the city. This hidden gem is tucked away in the suburbs of Boston and you would never know it is there. The place is pretty large and contains tons of cool animal exhibits and has an abundance of areas to explore. The Franklin Park Zoo is an oasis in the heart of Boston's inner city. Spectacular lion exhibit and habitat. Beuatiful huge indoor/outdoor gorilla exhibit. Fabulous place to relax with children and enjoy seeing the animals, and not so huge you need a golf cart to see everything. more

The zoo grounds were a mess the zebra's live in what looks like an old parking lot with a fence around it. If you have ever been to a good zoo don't go to this one. It has some good animals for younger children if they can see them in the distance. I wouldn't waste my money. Boston has so... more
