My husband and I live locally but decided to take the Fanieul Hall North End Tour with two other couples. We hoped to try some new places (we did) and sample new foods along with the classics (thank you Pizzeria Regina). Audrey offers tips and insight to the local food scene while chatting like a new found friend. If anything... More

In April my husband and I joined some friends on the Boston Foodie Premium Tour. I have to say that we kicked it off very nicely at the Liberty Hotel's Scampo Restaurant, which I would highly recommend. The ambience in the restaurant was superb, and the food was delicious - a small arugula salad and lobster pizza. From there, the... More

While we are always appreciative of guests' feedback, we've learned that from time to time, perspectives will differ, largely for two reasons: the majority of our guests have never been on a food tour and don't know what to expect, and, quite simply, food tastes/palates vary. That being said, thankfully, this type of review is highly unusual for Boston Foodie... More

This was my husband and I's first experience with a food tour and we weren't sure what to expect exactly. We were so thrilled with our tour! We chose the Beacon Hill/Back Bay tour since it was closest to where we were staying and started the afternoon by meeting up with Audrey, our tour guide, at Scampo, an upscale restaurant... More

For a premium food tour that costs $75, you'd think you'd be getting a decent amount of real food and maybe a glass of wine. Instead we wandered the city for 6 hours and ate very little real food. We started at Scampo, which was really the only good stop on the tour. We had a small piece of flatbread... More

Once again, we regret that we did not meet your family's expectations, as noted below to the father's review. I must stress that food tours are comprised of tasting SAMPLES, not meals. That being said, our food tour is known to provide what amounts to a meal throughout, as noted in previous reviews both here and on Yelp!, which we... More

If you are under the impression that you will be sampling food from lots of restaurants, forget it. It started off great at the Liberty Hotel. I was all down hill from there. It started at 12:30. After Liberty there was no real food until desert around 6PM. This was basically a shop hop. If you want a tiny lunch,... More

I am, of course, very sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. In my experience, our tour offers more food samples than any other food tour of which I am aware (and I've been on several across the country). In fact, Lydia Shire's restaurant, Scampo, our first tour stop, offers not tasting samples, but rather a light lunch... More

Some context first: - I'm not from Boston (I live on the other side of the country) - I'm pretty picky (esp abt proportions of sauces to substance, etc...) normally with my food on a day to day basis - I generally like tradtional Italian & American (new, not traditional) food Signed up for the foodie tour based on other... We didn't think Boston had a food scene, but Audrey and her Beacon Hill/Back Bay tour proved otherwise. We were the only group that day so we had a wonderful prolonged and in-depth conversation about Boston's food evolution with Audrey. A huge shout-out to the tour owner and our guide Audrey - she made all the difference. Audrey was animated,... More

My boyfriend surprised me with tickets to Audrey's Beacon Hill & Back Bay Food Tour as an early Christmas present and part of our long-weekend vacation in Boston. Our tour ran a little long so we spent 6 hours walking around Boston and eating amazing food! Definitely don't eat beforehand! All of the food we ate was included and alcohol... More

I went on the Beacon Hill/Back Bay food tour in September. It was my first food tour and I wasn't sure what to expect. Our meeting place was neat and the first stop was excellent! I don't want to give away all the secrets, but we had a tasting of several dishes and appetizers. We went to a food market... More
