Yesterday's visit to the New Children's Museum was terrific. 4-year-old Hayden had a ball, and his Mom and I had great fun watching him bouncing from one exhibit to the next. He cleaned all the dollars out of my wallet to play with that extraordinarily clever device in the entrance hall. He loved the slide, the rain house, the chalk...

If your kids love to get involved, this is the place. Pay to park in the garage instead of hunting for a street space so you can enjoy the area outside the museum too. Great classes--really impressed by how well the staff works with very young kids. Interesting art, well presented, with interactive projects. It is a big space so...

I think that the New Children's Museum follows the "less is more" motto because it is not overwhelming with gadgets or loud noises. Instead it has themed exhibits with hands-on activities for kids - mostly crafts. I think kids older than 6 may get a little bored and even for my 5 and 3 year olds, 1.5 hours was plenty...

I have a 6 and 3 year old who loved this museum. Each exhibit was engaging and was truly stimulating in so many ways and sparked imagination and creativity. Others just let them purely have fun! We spent several hours and went back to the kids favorites after lunch. The museum is in a great location to utilize public transportation...

parking is difficult for this museum. If you are lucky you will find street parking (be aware that there are a lot of one way streets in the area), otherwise you will need to pay for parking 1 block away in an uncovered lot or you will have to drive around the building and park underground in a paid lot....

What a missed opportunity this is. Compared to some outstanding Children's Museums like the one in Chattanooga and San Fran cisco and Boston, this is more like day care than a museum that challenges and has lots of exhibits. Ugly, mean looking building too
Our 1 and 6 year old had a great time. Great craft projects every hour. Fun painting a car. 1year old loved the bubble making section.
I went here with 8 + 11 yo and expected a great modern building, and interactive childrens exhibits museum-style.
What we got was a kind of 'oh' feeling when we realised its just a series of art studios, and not all that many at that!
After milling around for a bit we picked a place, appoached the 'tutor' and got...

Lots of rooms to explore..we each have our own favorite. I like the Moo Room, my younger daughter loves the climbing wall, my older daughter loves the ever-changing crafts and my husband enjoys the clay sculpting area. The museum also has occasional musical events in the adjacent park which are always amazing!
