The ranger who takes your daily fee ( $3 for adults, my son age 11 was free) makes sure you know there is no running water or other amenities/food or drink. Toilets are basic chemical porta-potty style. We stayed as long as we could without going back to covilization for water and food - the beach and surf was gorgeous.... more
If this is what beaches looked like before man brought the motels, shame on man. Beautiful, natural beaches complete with dunes. Plenty of parking. A must see. Kudos to the National Park Service for protecting this pearl. more
What a beautiful beach. So many miles to walk, swim, sun, people watch, sea shell hunt, explore. The beach is easily accessed over a short boardwalk. If you like a natural beach then you will like this one. There is a fee of about $5. You will see alligators and many birds on your way out to the beach but don't expect a regular Florida beach.
