My husband and brother had a great morning of fishing at Peacock Pocket near Banana Creek. Their guide, Justin, was friendly, knowledgeable and, best of all, put them on fish! They learned enough local knowledge to take me back in our kayaks for a fishing trip the next week. Before you leave Central Florida, get a sample of the wild... More

Read about this tour in the March 2012 Discover magazine article on "wild Florida" and booked a private tour to view manatees. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, not humid or hot, with calm waters in the Merritt Island Refuge area. The kayaks- the requested single Pungos were clean and in excellent shape and the PFDs were not... More

We have just returned back to the Seattle area from our week in Florida. We had a wonderful time visiting National Parks and Major League Baseball games, but the HIGHLIGHT of the trip was our Tuesday with Tim at the Merritt Island Refuge area. We have enjoyed kayaking for years here in the Pacific Northwest and had decided to treat... More

We did a bioluminescence tour on a Sunday night. What a great time. Our guide Travis was very knowledgeable about the area and taught us about the birds, fish, terrain and of course the bio. The start point is remote but well worth the trip. Follow the directions exactly as they send you with your confirmation and you will find... More

What a great way to spend a half day! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, experienced and fun! We booked this kayaking tour with little expectations as there were not many reviews and not much on their website. This was worth EVERY penny. The guide went out of her way to make sure we saw manatees. Our group was small and... More

Did the Nighttime Bioluminescent Kayak Tour last year and it was one of the most unique and amazing experiences I have ever done. The Bioluminescence was so bright and prevalent everywhere you looked. There were SWARMS of Mullet (fish) swimming all around us in the little cove we paddled to creating a nighttime light show in the water that defied... More

We originally signed up for the moon light wildlife tour during the full moon but had a lightening storm. A Day away graciously fit us in two nights later for the bio tour. Friendly efficient phone person. Good instructions to get to landing site. Fun guides. "E" was especially nice & seemed to want to get to know us. This... More

We took the 8:15 pm bioluminescent kayak tour during a "new moon". The meeting place is remote, but directions were right on (may be a bit hard to find in the dark though). Mosquitos were the worst I've experienced, so heed all instruction sabout wearing repellent (and go for the good stuff!) and long sleeves/pants. The staff were laid back,... More

Unfortunately for us, we did not see any bio-luminescent on our night. Nonetheless it was an interesting kayak trip. The guides are nice and attentive, helped us get in and out, but they seem to just talk to the few kayaks who were around them, so for the most time we pretty much were paddling on our own, playing bumper... My kids went on the bio tour 2 yearsago and could not stop talking about the sparkling blue water and sea life they encountered. I decided this year I would see for myself. I saw lots of stars in the sky and is was a calming trip, but I did not see much bio. The guide told us we could see... More
