A wonderful way to stretch your legs for a relaxing and invigorating walk through part of this gorgeous city. There is so much to see - from Shakespeare in the Park to just wandering for an hour, this park offers a breath of fresh air and time to calm down in between sightseeing. Check this out for a more extensive... more

I spent the whole day in Central Park with my husband, and still haven't seen all of it - it's huge! In the morning we went on a Central Park Conservancy walking tour, which I can't say enough good things about. First of all it's completely free - the tour guides are (very knowledgeable) locals who volunteer. They are a... more

Does Central Park live up to all of the hype? Yes! We were staying across the street at The Plaza, we arrived in NYC from DC a little before dark. We walked over to Central Park after unpacking our things and watched the ice skaters, just beautiful! The next morning I was anxious to see it during the day. We... more

I took my daughter and some visiting friends up to central park. As we were doing a whirlwind tour, I thought a horse ride would be a nice way to see the park and live an experience they see in the movies. They did enjoy it - you can't say otherwise, but it is quite short, and quite expensive. Officially,... more

Central Park is by far the best Free attraction in NYC. We strolled through Central Park in late October for 2 1/2 hours and barely covered a quarter of the park. There is so much to see. This park is a photographers dream! There is a zoo, carousel, winding roads, water fountain, lakes, restaurants, musicians, etc. It's fun to see all the... more

Must do a tour - you'll never see it by walking! Either rent a bike, or the horse drawn carriage or the guys who will pull you in a carriage while riding a bike, which was our choice. Along with the ride, came a narrated tour including a few photo stops. It was worth the $60 price we were given more

We live in the middle of 40 acres of woods so walking in Central Park was like taking a walk in my woods. There were some beautiful spots and we ended up buying two cds from a band who was performing in one of the areas but overall, it was just a hot, sweaty walk. more

You cannot visit New York without at least a short walk in the park. Each time we visit the city we always have a walk through the park, especially nice on a Sunday morning in good summer weather when the park is full of families, kids, runners, cyclists, kids playing soccer and baseball, etc. The scenery is nice and the... more
