Plan for this wonderful free experience. The wonder lab is free, but you need to make reservations. I would highly recommend this to visiting family's Kids learn about everything from robots to nano technologies to the way the Internet works. It is a great learning experience. Set asside two hours to see it all.
Of all the things we did whilst in New York our two boys (11 & 9) we're looking forward to doing this more than just about anything! Didn't know whether we were going to be able to do it due to everything else we had lined up and the fact that you could only book a couple of days in...

Fun FREE attraction in the city! Spent an hour and a half with teens in tow. Amazingly, they didn't get bored with the exhibits. They were able to try the simulated heart surgery, dance motion capture booth and recorded their news show. We were also able to watch the making of the Sony "bunny" commercial and it was fascinating.

Sony has a great museum that showcases the history of technology as well as the futuristic stuff with many interactive sections for kids and grown ups. Admission is free but be there at 10 am the latest for same day tickets.
Interactive exhibits that got them to think. We brought a group of cub scouts and brown bag lunches and this was a key stop on our NYC tour.
I loved the hands-on interactive exhibits which were really entertaining & my kids (and husband) like it too!
I reserved our spot weeks in advance, on the phone. It's free. It's not extraordinary but it's not bad either. Being Sony, we expected more astonishing things but we still had a good time with our teenage son. We stayed about an hour and a half. There is a Sony shop on the same building but you don't even have...

No doubt about it: a corporation is sponsoring this, so there is a Sony store at the end. OK: it's free, you may have to get on line, but you can make reservations. Very popular with schools and day camps. You get a credit card type thing, scan it at each exhibit you complete and receive a certificate at the...
