From early morning till very late at night Times Square is busy. It's full of atmosphere especially in the evening/nightime. Just go & soak it all up. If you love cities, hustle & bustle, you'll love it here.

It is a unique place on earth. We were with first time visitors from the Netherlands and is a must visit when going to New York the first time and a place to revisit whenever possible. Thankfully the area has been cleaned up of the type of establishments that were previously in the area.

On top of that, it's really crowded with gawking tourists, bad characters (think Elmo, Cookie Monster, etc), tour buses (and their pamphlet pushing crew) and noise. It's worth going once for a few photos or for something to do late one night or if you...

Good place to people watch! Only complaint is those life size cartoon Disney characters that charge you if you want your photo taken with them! Also some crazy topless senior female caused visitors to gawk! Good thing was seeing John Stossel (Fox News) interviewing people in the square regarding federal budget and sequestration. Truly a crazy & fun place to...

If your a tourist, you'll flock to it on more then one occasions because its filled with other people as awestruck as you are, it had an incredible atmosphere that you can't quite...
