M & M shop was interesting, remainder was basically tourist shops and restaurants with lots of neon. If you like bright lights and busy streets go to Hong Kong instead as the food is much better. more

We saw Times Square by both day and night and night was much more beautiful but during the day, you could do and actually see much more. It's a place to go to say you've been but everything is overpriced, crowded, and unoriginal. A bonus though... you get to see the New Years Eve ball all year long! more

I guess the Mall of America on the day before Xmas feel of this place might be better than a seedy strip of porn shops, but it certainly isn't as interesting. A must see in Manhattan but if you have visited other cities, like London, it will not blow you away. Visit after dark when the lights go on. more

We were amazed that you could come down to Times Square at 1 or 2 in the morning and it would still be packed and a fair selection of shops would still be open. Anything you want to do is here, shops, restruants, cafes, bars etc. You must spend at least a couple of hours here absorbing the atmosphere more

If you're travelling without a computer, you can get free internet access at the Times Square information centre. If it's closed, head down 8th avenue from 42nd st, cross the road and the burger king has internet $2 for 10 minutes. more
