This was a private tour with our knowledgeable tour driver, Isaac. We were in a comfortable Jeep. Isaac pointed out all of the city landmarks so I could take pictures. We stopped at several locations, just briefly, to get closer looks (Wall Street, Trinity Church, Central Park). Our main discovery was how delightful Brooklyn is. Nothing like we imagined. The... more

We took the Brooklyn Food Tour with Isaac in October 2009 during a short stay in New York. I learned more in three hours with Isaac than I did in all the history lessons of my schooling. He is a mine of information, all sweetly delivered, and accompanied by very interesting food. We found ourselves tasting Jewish, Polish, French, Cuban,... more

Our tour guide, Isaac, made this tour interesting and enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable about the history and present lifestyles in many parts of NY. His insight and the organization of every aspect of this tour made us get a true feel for how New York grew up. Visiting the various neighborhoods on a personal level (i.e. FOOD!), made us... more

Great guide - informative and amusing; great anecdotes. Isaac brings a personal perspective as well. Tour length - just right. You leave wanting more. Content - good. You get to see only a small part of Brooklyn but the parts you do see are all very different Price - yeah, there's always a "but" and this is the only thing.... more

Annie and I both enjoyed this trip - it was a refreshingly different type of tour. In all honesty we would not have even entertained the Knish establishment or the cafe where we had our meal - being reminded of the old saying - do not judge a book by its cover. Superb food all round and the chocolates were... more

Had a really great time taking this tour - it took all the fear out of leaving Manhattan to explore Brooklyn, while letting us have a heap of great food experiences along the way. Definitely one for both the foodies and the not so obsessed, and Isaac (the tour guide) had such intimate knowledge of all of the areas we... more

Having taken a similar food tour around Greenwich Village on a previous trip to New York, my wife and I decided to go on the Brooklyn Food Tour and see some of the parts of New York tourists don't generally see. Exploring the city whilst learning and sampling the various local foods is a great way to find out about... more

This was easily the best value for money during our stay in New York City. Isaac is a wonderful guide, who is obviously passionate about Brooklyn, and coveys that in the way he talks. He made everyone on the tour feel at ease, and it was a joy to listen to him. he took us to some wonderful places, and... more

This was an excellent tour for both able and disabled visitors. My husband is disabled in a wheelchair but was able to transfer into the front bench seat of the car. Being an open top meant both of us saw all around without difficulty, usually something he cannot do, and I was able to get some great shots with my... more
