First time in Harlem and loved every bit of it. Very cosmopolitan, great restaurants, boutiques. A great place to spend an afternoon watching the world go by.

It's not disappointing, it's a neighborhood, people live there, so there's not much to do if you don't. There are a lot of restaurants though, bars, lounges.

there are lots of new restaurants and bars in Harlem that opened in the last 3 years. Great for the Harlem residence ( especially the "newcomers" )- however the quality of the the new opened places is not a such that someone should rush to Harlem because of them. On the historical note- yes Lenox Lounge is still there and... More

Just a mellow place to visit with wide streets and beautiful old brownstones. You can take the Jazz tour, the Jewish tour or whatever special tour there is to offer. Not to mention listening to gospel music in one of the many churches on Sunday

We attended a service on Sunday at 11.00am and were greeted and made to feel very welcome. A great experience to attend and also to have a walk around Harlem

There are so many restaurants here. My favorite is the French one on 125th and Malcolm X (Chez Lucienne). MAKE RESERVATIONS! They have a prix fixe menu from 4-6.15pm (order within that time) for $21! AWESOME. so much better than the ones downtown. Worth the trip! Gets REALLY crowded around 7.30-8pm. Excellent service.
