We took my mother here many years ago. Her parents came to NY from Europe. The minute we walked into the first exhibit, she started to cry. It was very nostalgic for her. Amazing experience.

It is wonderful to be able to trace you family entry in to the United States. The boat ride over is so much fun.

Nice Spring Trip. On a nice day, you enjoy the Ferry ride over. Bring your lunch and have a picnic before going in on the lawn. Great Outdoor fun and very historical!

Every American should visit Ellis Island Immigration Museum!! It has been lovingly restored with haunting reminders of those who left all they knew to build a new life for themselves and their families. Be sure to get the audio tour - it's worth the few extra dollars!!

Having said that the weekends are still quite packed with visitors and the ferries are filled from top to bottom. The views from the ferry are really... More
