Visitor passes are required though they're free. Managed to do this and arrived a few minutes before designated time. Lines go through fast through security check and once in the memorial, one senses openness of space. Waters running through both pools- both built on the former foundation of the two buildings within the old World Trade Center
A very emotional and fitting memorial to all the victims impacted by the events of 9/11. I recommend visiting this beautiful tribute.
Try to plan ahead to print out a free ticket a few days or more ahead of time; otherwise you can get free tickets at the 9/11 Preview building but probably will get tickets for 6:30 p.m. or later.
Beautiful place for a quiet reflection. Even with the construction sites sorrounding, it's a peaceful place to remember...

Remember to go to the 9/11 memorial site before you get to get...

The 9/11 Memorial site is far from completed but is a must see. The waterfalls in the footprints of the original buildings were so moving and so beautifully done I was hard pressed to move on even as a thunderstorm bore down on us. I will visit the site again when the museum is finished.
You need to reserve a time slot to get tickets to enter. If you don't print the reservation, you need to pick up the tickets and walk to the entrance area. Give yourself time to do this, since with the crowds, the walk will be some 10 minutes. The entrance is right in front of the W hotel. You will...
