Performance was good indeed but the overall space inside was very crowded, basically with tables just next to each other. Also, foods and drinks were overpriced in addition to the admission fee of $35 per person.

We heard jazz while munching on very delicious food... a fab night out.
Heard BILL EVANS SOULGRASS SPECIAL EDITION here - wildly exciting from the first keyboard note! What a line-up of sensational musicians - wanted to push over the tables and dance - but you can't! One of our best evenings in New York, along with Memphis. The drummer growls out the songs with an amazing voice - we loved it!!
We saw the Ron Carter quartet performing at the Blue Note on Good Friday and his performance was on par with what you'd expect from such a great artist. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about the service. The waitress took more than half an hour to bring our drinks and managed to get the order wrong... We waited in...

A good lie, now I can...

We booked the late show to see Tre Williams - 12.30 show. Disappointingly the show started late so we were in the street until about 1am when they let us in, and Tre didn't come on stage until about 1.30. the bar took last ordered at 2.15/2.30. The ticket price was only $10 though so it was still amazing value....

Went to see David Sanborn Trio on Valentine's Day. Uncomfortably crowded seating. Good view of stage. $55 cover charge for music. $5 minimum on food or drink per person.
Came to see David Sandborn who was very good how ever the cost including a very average meal was over $200 for two of us and we were packed in very tightly on communal tables elbow to elbow with other visitors. Have to say we enjoyed the three buskers playing funky Jazz at Penn station more on the way home...

Saw the 'Manhattan Transfer' perform here - sat next to the stage, and I thought it might be too loud, but they have set up the sound system in a way that you're not deafened by the end of the show. Great to see great musicians practice their craft in such an intimate setting. I only had a drink there,...
