Thoroughly enjoyed Melanie's tour of Hel's Kitchen. While it was billed as a food tour, it went way beyond. Great food at unique mom and pop places, a little bit of neighborhood history, and exposure to great parks, boutique hotels, and other neighborhood secrets. We were lucky enough to be the only two so we got a very personal experience.... More

First off, you have to think of this tour as an educational tour of Hell's Kitchen interspersed with some tasty stops along the way. If you go into it expecting a gastronomic extravaganza, you will walk away disappointed. My wife and I went with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Melanie knew her stuff about the area and her... More

I've tasted better and there wasn't enough food on this tour. And it wasn't the " tastiest tour you'll ever walk into" For a few dollars less, there are better tours out there.

I have been on a few food tours in NYC and this one is by far my favorite. Melanie, the tour guide, did a great job of explaining the history of the area and also highlighting the "foodie" facts within Hell's Kitchen. Enjoyed most of the food stops, however, I did not find the "taco" tasting to be anything exciting... More

To preface this review: I am not a foodie. But I do like to eat. My friend who accompanied me is much more into the "foodie" scene. And still, we both had an enjoyable time. It was a great way to see Hell's Kitchen and learn a bit about the neighbourhood, as well as taste some local treats. All the... More

We had Melanie as our tasting tour guide. She was super enthusiastic about the area, the food and the history of Hell's Kitchen. As native New Yorkers, we learned a lot and now have been introduced and will patron new great restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. So happy we did this tour. It is great for tourists and locals alike.

We've lived in the city for over 2 years, and it took that long for us to get out and do a food tour. Thank goodness for motivated out-of-town guests. This tour was really fun and totally delicious. Moira is a great guide, with lots of expertise about the area and about food in general. In fact, four hours after... More

A very informative and entertaining tour of Hells Kitchen ! Our guide, Maura is the perfect personality to lead this adventure. She is such a lovely woman with loads of info- a self proclaimed "foodie" with a warm heart. There were half a dozen food tastings with stops to discuss other restaurants from the outside. We were stuffed at the... More

Rum and Blackbird was absolute fun! My friend and I learned so much and had such a great time. I especially loved that the food related to the area's mobster history. Our tour guide's sense of humor was golden -- she could make reading the dictionary interesting! Judging by the two Australian kids on the tour, it's fun for kids... More
