I thoroughly recommend the Big Onion (google it) walking tours of Manhattan. I am an Australian visiting New York, which I know reasonably well, but my guided walking tour of Lower Manhattan, its history, architecture and culture opened my eyes. Tina the tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a great communicator. As a doctorate student from NYC Uni, she really... More

The SOHO, Little Italy and Chinatown districts have obvious cultural differences in New York. The local food reflects these differences but all equally delicious! Ever-so-light Chocolate cake followed a Pizza slice starter in SOHO. Little Italy did not disappoint with a traditional canoli and finally pork dumplings in not-so-far-away Chinatown. Bruce does a great job walking through his local streets,... More

First trip to this area. Bruce made the neighborhoods come alive - we went from the village, through soho, little italy , & chinatown. Such diversity! including the food tastings - delicious dumplings from a restaurant we never would have found

Bruce put together a great tour for 10 teenagers from LA on their first trip to NY. We saw Greenwich Village, LIttle Italy, Soho and Chinatown, eating everything from bagels to cannoli on the way. He gave of lots of info and local color. It was terrific.

Bruce did a great job. It was just right. Not overloaded with information and not boring at all. We enjoyed and can definitely recommend. We would book other tours with him in case of further visits to NYC. Price is very moderate for what you get.

I had so much fun on the Multi Ethnic Food Tour. Bruce, our guide, was so personable and just full of fascinating facts and history of the areas we visited. The food was really great too.

My wife and I had a great tour. We wanted a deeper experience of NYC then just the landmark sights, and this tour provided it. We felt what it might be like to live and roam in a neighbourhood where only the very wealthy could afford. It was kind of neat. Bruce was a knowledgable and gracious guide. (we noticed... More

My wife and I enjoyed this evening tour through Chinatown, Little Italy, NOLITA and the Lower East side. We sampled interesting food at four restaurants, and just enjoyed the mild January evening. Thanks to Bruce at Manhattan Walking Tours.
