This place was frequented by Frank Sinatra back in his day and is mentioned in Mad Men (I am a sucker for these types of places). The burgers are so good, I had traditional hamburger my boyfriend had a cheese burger with bacon. The dessert was old school and tasted great and there was a good selection of beers and... More

If you are looking for a fun happy hour or late night spot to have a few drinks with the best bartnder group in NYC this is the place. I have been going there for over 20 years and love it. The restaraunt portion offers very good food and is consitently good overall. A lot of fun people and regulars... More

Food good. My burger was good, wife's shrimp and avocado sandwich was amazing. Service good. A bit pricey, but on point for Midtown. Recommend.

This is a great bar located on the East side. The food is great but their Mimosas ROCK! The bartender (I'm embarrassed to admit that I forgot his name) is great and kept the drinks coming! There seems to be lots of locals at this bar which makes it a more "homey" place rather than just another local tourist attraction.

I've been going there for years. This bar is wonderful. Probably my favorite anywhere. The place itself has been around since the 1880s. It's tiled interior and long bar gives it a timeless charm. The service is second to none. The most professional bar team you'll see who go out of their way to remember your name, remember your drink... More

lovely decor from early 1900 & great burgers. I appreciated the atmosphere with all the old furniture, the bar, the toilets, the brick walls. a little two floor building historically keeping it up while sorrounded by HUGE 40 story (at least) buildings :)

After 10 hours of walking around New York sightseeing we spotted P J Clarke's en route back to our hotel. Like a previous reviewer said, it looked really busy from across the street but then we saw sign stating "Dining Room around corner". Lovely atmosphere, dark wood and red & white checked table cloths. Not too busy at around 6.30pm.... More

We stopped here for an early dinner on our way to the movies and in hindsight realize it was a mistake. We sat at 5pm and ordered drinks while we read the menu. The martinis arrived and were on the small size for $13. My wife had the caesar salad and I had the lump crab cake for starters. Before... More

We had a brilliant time at P J Clarke's. It has a real buzz about the place and we met some great New Yorkers within minutes of arriving. It was the best pub we found in New York.
