Great show, brilliant acting, singing and how they manage to do the horse's is amazing - really impressive in fact! Its not the happiest story in the world, so don't go expecting to be full of the joys of spring after, cause there is war in the title after all! Definitely worth going to see - but that for the... This was a fabulous bit of stagecraft. If you are familiar with horses, you are blown away with how realistic the "horse" was, even though you could see that it was just a wooden "frame" being manipulated by people...who you could see. It was worth it just to see this. The plot, on the other hand, was totally juvenile. Still,... More

This play is technically superior due to the magical puppetry used with the "horses" and the very creative projections on the "torn" curtain. I really did begin to believe the horses were real. The story line is okay and the acting is fine.

War Horse has some great production values...remarkable horse puppets, electrifying war scenes, an endearing star cast. A children's story that keeps the whole audience enthralled for over 2 hours. Don't miss

Don't miss this! Much better than the film! You can actually feel the horses emotions.

War Horse is an extraordinary night out. The staging is as exceptional as the story and the story telling is charming. We got out tickets last minute at TKTS and the place was packed. We, the boring advanced middle-aged Australians, sat between some teenagers and some hip hop dudes and we were all raving about War Horse - it crosses... More

This was one of the most enjoyable plays I have seen. Having seen the movie first, I could not imagine how it could work on-stage. But work it does. My how family (including 3 teenage boys) were absolutely fascinated by the production. I thought that the puppets in the Lion King were great (and they were) but the puppeteers in... More

Lincoln Centre is very modern with collection of theatres - very different from Broadway - however this suited the War Horse very well as regards the stage. Amazing show mostly being acted by puppeteers. Just brilliant and a must see if you go to New York!!

It was well worth the trip. The way they work the horse is amazing. Book your tickets there from the booth at Times Square. Can get it so much cheaper but you do take a chance on their being any left
