One of the most fascinating tours in the city! It was really fun and very realistic! Makes you respect blind people more! Never knew what it was like go get around as a blind person until now! Great family activity or as a date!

This was a fascinating experience, simulating being blind in New York City (e.g., going on a subway, shopping in a market, walking through Central Park). We were led by a visually impaired person in complete darkness. My children (ages 9 and 12) were nervous at first, but really enjoyed it and thought it was quite an adventure.
I was glad I chose a Thursday because I used my citypass and the guidebook listed the days wrong. But it was open and we got there about 4:45. There was no line and I asked when was the next show that we could get tickets for. She looked in the computer and at the clock and said she could...

I have to say this was a pretty unique experience and very interesting, it really makes you realize how much you depend on your eyesight.
However I was quite disappointed by the number of people they take on each tour. There were 10 of us which made things quite difficult and frustrating. A lot of time was spent waiting for...

I really wanted to visit this exhibition after reading the reviews on trip advisor, and realised it would be free entry if we used our New York Passes. So my husband and I chose to blitz that area of Manhatten on a day that the guide book given to us with our New York pass tickets said it was open,...

At first I was a little anxious, because you are in the dark for over an hour, but once the guide takes you around the exhibit it goes away. Great experience and you realize what we take for granted with our eyesite
Our family (2 adults, 12 yr/15 yr old sons) had visited NYC many times and were looking for something a little different to do. This was a quick, but fun and interesting activity. It is amazing to see how quick your other senses kick in but it also makes you aware of how much you miss when you view things...

Our guide Derek was so amazing, inspiring and delightful! He was especially good with my kids ages 11 and 10. He was so open and honest with us. And his voice boomed!!! Which really made such a dark experience full of brightness!
Dialog in the Dark let's you experience some of the famous (and possibly less famous) New York landmarks as if you were blind. Some of the experiences included Central Park, Fairway (grocery), getting on the subway, and Times Square.
It was an interesting experience - fun, and definitely something different to do if you're in the touristy South Street Seaport...

This experience was led by a visually impaired woman who was excellent. Very charismatic and made us feel very comfortable. It made me See NYC through my ears only. My emotions have never experienced the city like this before. The tour in the dark is about 30 minutes. Unique and Interesting. A must go!
