We did not see the museum, but did visit the memorial. The fountains are beautiful and it is very moving to see all the names carved in the stone around the perimeters.

Once you have established that the long rows of people move very quickly and that you will be allocated a time to enter the Memorial Park, it is a profound experience when you get there... the silence, the reflections and the fact that you simply cannot see where the water runs to is goosebump stuff!

the most moving and emotional part of our trip to New York. Everyone should visit there when in New York. Tickets are free online.

Water memorials are impressive. Very emotional especially seeing our nephew's godfather;s name. Security was not as bad as we anticipated. Worth the trip Best to get tickets in advance but they can be gotten the same day at the 911 preview site a few blocks away

Although the museum is not yet open, it is a very powerful experience to stand at the two pools and remember.

Water memorials were very well done. You should go to museum website and watch and listen to all video, etc on timeline before going. Then you can find their names on memorial when you go. Security is very thorough, be prepared!

Be sure to go on line and get your ticket a day ahead of time. The security line is slow and thorough so take note on the website at what you are allowed to bring into the memorial. Once you are inside, you will have the opportunity to visit the two reflecting pools. At first, I saw the names of... More

This attraction was marred by the excessive security arrangements in and around the site. We arrived early one cold morning and were searched, Xrayed, and led around by NYPD. It took 30min to get thru without any crowd. While I accept that security is required, the level of security at the Arizona memorial where thousands of Americans died is not... More

I would have loved to go, but why pay a fee and then wait months to get in? 9/11 was a momentous tragedy for all of us and changed our lives in many ways that we did not expect, but since this is a memorial, there should be no charge what soever!.
