What a gorgeous park overlooking the Hudson River! The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch or just read a book. Free parking. I took some friends who were visiting from out of town to go for a walk in Fort Tryon and boy did we pick it! Visitors to NYC might have the idea that it's all towering skyscrapers, steel and concrete, a sunless labyrinth crowded by hustling, bustling mobs of everybody.
