Its breathtaking view to see the Manhattan skyline from air or land. We saw it while landing and from the statue of liberty island. The most amazing view is from the empire state building and top of the rock tower. I would recommend doing one during the day and other at dusk (around sunset)

Just glorious view of Manhattan Island ! To be able to see the Hudson River, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and many landmarks that we had only read about was simply breath taking.

peaceful, was the one word I would give this view. It's a view with in a view and there was not of city sounds with it.

Love it! View the skyline of Manhattan from the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, or from a helicopter or from a boat trip. Stunning :)

I was amazed with the skyline everywhere we went, particulary at night. Best views were walking across the Brooklyn bridge from Brooklyn and the Top of the Rock. For a view at night try the Rare bar on Lexington (Affinia Shelburne hotel) you can see the Empire state and Chyrsler buildings.
