This linear Park is a gem of the Upper West Side. Time your visit to visit the Cathedral, Grants Tomb and Columbia University then walk south into the park and meander as far as you can go. Enjoy the walls, paths and linear vistas designed by Olmstead and take time to enjoy the views across the Hudson River into New... More

We stayed right across from the park on Riverside Dr. at the Riverside Tower Hotel. We went and took a walk through park. We also went and had dinner at the Boat Basin Restaurant located in the park at the 79th Street Boat Basin. It is a very nice park to see. You should go and see this park when... More

This has always been my favorite park because of the river views. Central Park may have the fame, but Riverside is were real NYers hangout.

Great place for dog walking - and everyone picks up after their dogs thankfully! Wonderful place to see the beginnings of spring, great playgrounds and although some bikes ride way to close to the walkers (like the challenge of snowboaders getting along with skiers) there are paths where they move more carefully and slowly. Great views!

Riverside Park starts at 72nd street. I grew on 71st Street. I continue to go to that area. If you want a pleasant stroll alongside the Hudson River, this is the place to go. I have taken a picnic lunch; bicycle rode and watched my kids enjoy the same playground that I frequented when I was a youngster. It’s peaceful,... More

A good time to walk on the Hudson river is 8.00 in the morning. Its cool and and the bikes are only going in one direction [downtown]. Be careful to walk on the right side of the path or you risk a close call with a bike rider. A good subway stop is 79th going north on the 1 line,... More

Our Big Apple Greeter -Jennifer- took us kindly around the neighborhood and included a very nice spot next to Hudson River. This park is not as big as Central Park, but I think it's worth to see it, have a stroll around it, talk, enjoy the weather, see people exercising, running, kids playing around with their parents. We felt like... More

I don't understand why this park is so low on the list of places in NYC. I think this park is a great place just to go and take a walk along the Hudson. It is beautiful and peaceful and not to mention the park where Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks meet up at the end of You've Got Mail.... More
