This is a late review from a trip last June, we visited the bar which is in the St Regis hotel (we weren't aware of this and struggled to find) anyway, we went because it was highly recommended in one of the guide books. I think the word in the book was "dress up kids!" We were very excited to... More

Either before dinner or after the theater the King Cole has long been a favorite watering hole. Within the venerable St. Regis Hotel, the staff continues the tradition of excellence. Always attentive and professionally unobtrusive. One of the classics in the city.

My wife and I were staying at the St. Regis and wanted some drinks but did not want to pay for the drinks in the mini-bar in our room. Hearing that the King Cole Bar is something of an establishment, we decided to make a visit. The bar is very dimly light with seating both at the bar and small... More

The King Cole Bar at the St. Regis in New York is to be not just visited but enjoyed. The atmosphere is classic with the Maxfield Parrish mural and dark wood dominating the room, it is a lovely way to spend an hour or so with family and friends...particularly at the end of the day.

As much as I love the new hot spots, I still have a place in my heart for classic New York locales. King Cole Bar is one of my favorites. The dark wood, historic paintings, banquettes, low lighting, and clubby feel makes this a cozy place for a date. The vibe is mature -- perfect for conversations and laughs without... More

My fiance was drinking "Jazz Me Blues" - Pear Vodka, St. Germain and champagne and I was drinking Vodka and club soda. We had French Onion Soup and seasonal meat and cheese plates which were very good. The staff was very nice and friendly - there was plenty of space and a really great atmosphere.

We popped into the King Cole Bar at the St. Regis (Starwood property) prior to a lunch reservation nearby in mid-January 2011. The bar doesn’t open until 11:30 “on the dot”, and because we were a few minutes early, we walked around the hotel to investigate. It seems to be a smaller property with more personalized service than the huge... More

Not sure why this "cocktail" bar is so highly rated... apart from the mural behind the bar, the decor and furniture is bland. But that is NOT what bothered me. What really matters in a cocktail bar is an ability to make a proper drink and on the basis of the watery, fruit cup I was presented with as an... More

We stopped in The King Cole for one of their signature bloody mary's and it was a great experience. While yes they were $20 a pop, they were awesome and worth the hype. The atmosphere of the bar however was the biggest plus. Great for people watching, and just an overall awesome place to be. We will be back!

We came for a great drink and that's what we got. Sure the drinks are over 20 dollars each but the atmosphere and people watching was worth every penny. Treat yourself and go
