I stopped in the Landmark (1868) for lunch on a recommendation. It's one of those old Irish pubs in NY, (Would probably be considered "new" in Eire!) like McSorley's, which has stood the test of time. I can see why. The bar is nice and there is plenty of space inside. It has an Irish vibe to it, unlike a... More

I was in NY for the NY Gift show and thought I would try it instead of the bleak fare available at the show,it's an easy walk from the piers, I will be back next time I am in the area and will bring everyone traveling with me. really nice.

Stepped in to get out of the rain. Like stepping back in time. Felt like we were in a scene from Boardwalk Empire. Cozy up to the bar, Historic Irish Pub. Food was delish and reasonably priced. Plenty of beers to choose from. Many families visiting the Intrepid, came in for lunch.

We stumbled across this place while looking for lunch after taking the kids to the USS Intrepid. It's a small Irish bar/restaurant on 11th Avenue, originally founded in the 19th century and nicely restored a few years ago. Lunch spots in a neighborhood dominated by taxi repair shops and car salesrooms aren't plentiful, but this one was a real find.... More

Stopped in for a great lunch. Had corned beef sandwich and my daughter had lobster ravioli. Loved the feel of this place.

We had the steak wrap, cheeseburger, bangers & mash, and soup. Everyone was very happy w/their meal. Service was GREAT.

Bangers and Mash was excellent. My only disappointment was a limited selection of Irish beers.

OK, women will enjoy it, too. But the Landmark is an old school tavern in the historic sense. And historic it is. It opened in 1868 as a seaman's tavern because, at that point, 12th avenue and all its piers did not exist and the Landmark stood on the banks of the Hudson River. I love a place that still... More

Have yet to try the food. But they mix a good cocktail and have some good beers on draft. LOVE the pub atmosphere.

This was a great find for us on our last trip to NYC. We came upon it by accident and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. I don't know if I would categorize the food as excellent - it was good, but not outstanding; but, it is well worth it for the atmosphere. We felt like we were... More
