Went to this little blues club in Greenwich Village based on a friend's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. $10 cover was well worth it, caught three sets of blues jams. We especially liked when a horn player came in from the kitchen (?) and started jamming with the four piece band - he rocked. Turns out he's the GM of... More

We visited this bar to listen to Ray Shinnery, a great blues guitar player (but the cast changes every night). The place is not very big, so the atmosphere is cosy. The price is 10 dollars per person to sit. Any drinks are extra and quite expensive but the music was well worth it. There are many restaurants in the... More

We have been here three times and enjoyed it very much every time. The music and athmosphere are great – it is just the right size of a place for blues. It has always been packed and we were lucky to get in and have seats as well. Next time when in NYC I will go here again. Great place... More

If your a Blues Fan... Check out who is playing... while your in the city. During our whirlwind weekent in NYC, I saw that there was a great Blues Harp player/singer , playing at 7pm on Friday nite. Steve Guyger. with his accoustic guitar player named "Filthy Rich" ... and a guest Flugal Horn player... Anyways, the club is great... More

Went to see Michael Powers. $10 cover well worth it. He is so talented. Amazing soulful blues voice and incredible guitar playing. Venue compliments the performance too. He's there most Monday nights. Go see him. You wont be dissappointed.

More

Recently visited from the UK and decided to pop in here after eating out on Bleeker St. I'm neither a huge blues fan or a blues hater but that the guy/group that was on whilst we where there was fantastic - amazing voice and charisma. Apparently he's pretty well known on the Blues scene and this resulted in a very... More
