We submitted a request for the free tickets 2 weeks before our trip. Was selected by lottery and contacted by cell the day before the show while we were touring in NYC. Were told we had been selected for the 3:30 show. Were told to arrive by 1pm, we arrived in line at 12:45 and just beat the majority of... More

We enjoyed seeing the David Letterman show very much. My husband is a big fan. To get tickets ahead of time, go to the web site and sign up for the dates you will be in town. This is what we did. We got a call a week before the show and had to answer an easy trivia question about... More

So to make matters worse, its pouring rain and we are all standing outside in lines while Lettermans dorky pages are under the awning staying dry. Is this how letterman treats his guest? Once they line starts to move, a page comes out with umbrellas for us to use. Really? Now??? First person checks your ID and your guest and... More

Thought it might be a bit cheesy but we really had a fun time. All the standing in line and being packed like sardines inside the Ed Sullivan Theatre was a bit much but in the end, glad we won tickets and experienced this.

I got free tickets to see the show being taped as part of the live audience. Although, this was an amazing experience to see how everything happens, it just wasn't as good as just watching it on tv.

The Ed Sullivan Theatre, where Late Show is taped, is quite wonderful. As a music fan, I remember seeing the Beatles play here on Ed's show back in the '60s. The music is still the best thing going on here, as Paul Schaffer's band really rocks! You can only fully appreciate that at a live taping. Dave was hilarious, as... More

My wife and I walked into the theater to get tickets. We were interviewed before being put on a list. My suggestion, say something funny in the interview. You will get tickets. The theatre is awesome. So much history. The line up takes 2 hours, and no washrooms while you wait. So hold off of the late. Because you don't... More

Tickets are easy to get, you just have to be somewhat flexible (go online). The wait is a bit of hassle and the interns/pages are REALLY annoying (If I heard "make sure you laugh real lound and clap!" one more time!). Other than that, it was fascinating to watch "behind the scenes" of how the show is run (we had... More

First let me say, many of the reviews are a complete exaggeration. I request tickets online the week of April 1. I got a call April 3 from Jack. He asked what days I would be in New York and if there was a day that was better for me. I said next Wednesday the 11th (the magic and bird... More
