We highly recommend stopping by the visitors center at 53rd street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan. They have multi-lingual staff on hand to answer your queries, sell you tickets to attractions, museums etc... and provide you with general information. While we did not need the foreign language assistance, we were truly impressed by the knowledgeable staff which were available to... More

This was recommended to us by good friends. On arrival we were met by Sam, the manager. He was awesome. He gave us hints for a few days and told us to return after that, which we did. On our second visit he was even more helpul. Visit the center before you do anything else.

Highly recommended as a place to start your visit. Sam was an enthusiastic expert on all aspects of NYC, from subway info to museum tickets to best pizza. We wanted to kidnap him as our personal tour guide! He really helped us out and gave us personal, undivided attention. I even called the next day for a restaurant recommendation near... More

If traffice is congest, cab driver will kick you out wherever is convenient to him. I and my friend had to... More

We are New Yorkers living in Maryland. We visit Manhattan in April and October and always stop at the visitors center. If you are lucky you can get half price tickets for shows without waiting on line at TKTS. Staff is always very helpful. Lots of info to help you plan your time in Manhattan while visiting the places you... More
