This store offers an excellent sounding series of lectures on food and wine that was advertised by Amex. When we arrived the usher maintained they had no record of our $160 payment. When the manager arrived she repeatedly quizied us (Are you sure you are here on the right night?) until , at our request, she checked our reservation number... More

I bought a box of wine along with several other wines in May and opened it in June. The wine was oxidized although I had kept in a cool air conditioned place. I brought the wine to their shop and they refused to exchange it. I asked them why as the return policy allows for store credit and they answered... More

Finally, a wine store that doesn't just play slave to the whims of Mr. Parker. The newly re-vamped Astor has (a) the biggest selection I've ever seen (I don't even want to think about what their rent must be), (b) a beautiful look to it, and (c) the most varied and ecclectic selection a wino could possibly hope for.
