This is a very sad exhibit, but a must see if you are in the area. long line to get in and construction in the area makes for a noisy wait.

I have to say the 911 Memorial is magnificent. Everything was in an orderly fashion and very secure. It is free to go in but donations are graciously accepted.
we visited here one afternoon whilst visiting NYC, and to be honest, wished we had spent our time more wisely. the attraction is okay, with relatively good waxworks however with everything else New York has to offer, this stood out as nowhere near as good as other attractions you can visit!
The 911 Memorial will be lovely when completely finished and I can't wait to see the Museum when it opens. The two pools (which are set in the footprints of the original twin towers), with nearly 3,000 victim's names, are a moving tribute to those who were lost. Don't miss the survivor tree, which was found damaged in the wreckage...

Although I'm glad I went, I will probably never return. If you plan on visiting check out the website and print out your passes at home. The passes are free, but a donation will be suggested online, or on site. If you are a family member of someone who died on 9/11 you can notify the staff in person or...

Went to view the site and progress of the memorial. It's hard to fathom the depth of needless destruction and loss that took place there. Having visited the towers years ago as well as 6 months after the disaster, it looks so austere. The footprints of the towers seem so small when considering their height and the sheer volume of...

We went to pay our respects, and felt so many emotions. We found it quiet, almost sacred. The survival tree was in full blossom. The tallest New Tower is well on the way to completion. My imagination went into overdrive, but It is incomprehensible what happened that day. We spoke to locals who had their own stories to tell. For example son...

We are from NY and go back as tourists.I was not in NYC on 9/11 but I remember the day as if it were yesterday. I thought this would be a great experience for my 9 year old. I must say I was a bit dissapointed. There is airport level security and it seems the tax payers dollars could be...

This is not a fun place to go, especially for people touched by 9/11. However, it's done with amazing sensitivity to those who were lost that day. Beautiful tribute.
The memorial pools were breathtaking and beautifully done. There were a ton of people there but everything and everyone was so quiet. It was a humbling experience. To get through to the memorial, you must go through several security points. I noticed that seemed to bother some of the people but not me. I was glad for the added security....
