The boat is very nice and clean and the crew is very friendly and have a great energy! They really love what they do, they are proud of it and love marine life. When on our trip the crew spotted a mylar balloon out in the ocean and they literally stopped the boat and turned around to fish out the... More

Nice trip to a beautiful island. Just the right length for a day trip; one hour out, a few hours on the island and one hour home. A volunteer led a hike around the island offering a lot of historic information and identifying local and invasive plant species. Bring your camera, wear good hiking shoes and pack a lunch.

I kind of fell into this trip by accident as I was google mapping a destination in Ventura, then I saw "Island Packers Whale Watching". It was the highlight of our March Break trip. The staff, from the people on the phones, to the crew, were well informed and extremely courteous and professional. We did the 3 hour afternoon tour... More

On this trip we saw about 9 whales and a pod of 1,000 dolphins. The sea was a little choppy in spots so if you get sea sick take your dramimine! I highly recommend a bringing a good camera and a jacket! You will want both. The staff was top noch and the boat had plenty of space for everyone.... More

Although Island Packers was only the transportation to the island, I will hold them responsible for the success of my trip. We took the 9:00am boat out to Santa Cruz in Mid-March. I called a few times to try to decide which island my friend and I should visit. The women on the other end of the phone at Island... More

We went on the Whale Watching trip, and the day trip to East Santa Cruz. The boat trip for whale watching was a lot of fun. It was a warm day, and we enjoyed seeing the sea lions and dolphins and cruising around the islands(We docked at santa cruz to offload some passengers then went all around Anacapa). We were... More

I probably read their entire website and spent several minutes on the phone with them trying to determine if it was worth going to Channel Islands for the day. Yes!!!! The Island Packer staff was very friendly and efficient. They are a model for other service companies! We ended up doing the boat ride to Anacapa Island from Oxnard (though... More

...and now I can check that off my bucket list! We found Island Packers and their whale watching excursion quite by accident, but I'm glad we did! We took an afternoon trip on January 25 and we saw whales, sea lions, dolphins, and lots of birds! Our boat was full, but we got a good seat. Their staff was very... More

Took a full day trip to Scorpion Ranch on the channel islands. Incredible hiking trails and beautiful sights. It was great to see what Southern California would have looked like 200 years ago!
