We have birthday parties here, camping and lots of fishing. The fishing is great! nice quiet, clean park

Everyone said this was the place to go see the manatees because of the warm water. Though the park itself was truly lovely, with a playground, gift shop and a little trail that takes you through a botanical garden, don't expect to see manatees. We loved this state park, could use more hiking trails otherwise a very peaceful park. There was a small beach but did not swim due to a possibility of alligators. New program, "Owl Prowl" was amazing. We learned a lot about the owls in the area, etc. We then ventured and actually were able to call in 3 different owls.... More

This is a hidden treasure. We have been living here for 9 years and had no idea this place was here. the lake is Huge and stocked with fish and big gators are around as well. the park has great trails and is very clean. I highly recomend this place. It is a great day out and will not break... More

We went for 4 nights with our 7, 11, 14 year old children. One of our main disappointments was that there actually isn't anywhere where it is safe to swim, although the website says there is swimming.
