Small and quiet but a terrific spot on the river. You can picnic there if you want. It only takes about 1 hr to see the museum and grounds but it's really nice. Plus you can get your National Park Passport stamped. Free of charge to see.

Great part of Bradenton to remind us of the historical value, nice walk, good information for locals and visitors. Park rangers could be more watchful of visitors in the evenings, have seen some illegal activities.

There is so much to do at De Soto National Memorial Park. There is something for everyone, from kayaking to sitting on the beach, to exploring the fort to riding a four wheel bike, is such fun not to be found in many places.

We turn the walk through the park into an adventure. Learning about the early explorers and the indians who befriended them.

A great historic landmark. The visitor building informs a lot about what happened there. Nice nature trail at the shore line.
