A nicely walkable canyon with lots of great geology. Goes a long way but never gets boring. Can drive in from eastern end if you have an appropriate vehicle.

Gorgeous views. Once you getup and down on the cliffs, it's so beautiful. In between the cliffs are gorgeous. The Leadfield ghost town in the middle of Titus Canyon is neat. But the 24 mile road is severely bumpy and very uncomfortable to drive. You will definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle; we had a rigged-out Jeep Wrangler. I can... More

Plan a couple hours for the trip, but very worth it! It was our favorite part of the trip. Make sure to bring food, water and a camera!

Both to and from Scotty's Castle we passed the exit for this, and thought it looked facinating. We drove in the mile and a half you are allowed to go against the direction of travel, and thought we might try it. Left the park and spent the night in Beatty near the start of the drive. Read all the high... More

Jim Farabee helped us plan this great day to the two ghost towns on the way to Titus Canyon and then on to the Racetrack (viewing the Grandstand at the Northend and the moving rocks at the south end). Great day!

Our family did the Titus Canyon scenic drive with our to kids (10 and 12). I knew to use a high clearance vehicle and used a Ford Escape (small SUV) which was fine. You could probably use a car; however, to be safe I would recommend an SUV. Some of the rangers and brochures recommend a 4WD. This does not... More

You could do this drive in an SUV, and I would recommend 4WD. We spent close to 3 hours, with a half hour spent at Leadville and an hour spent at the high point of the road to hike on to the top. Great views, incredible colors. Don't get your hope up for the petroglyphs, there's nothing much left to... More

The 27 mile drive has breathtaking views on every turn. The park recommends a high clearance vehicle. Believe it. Some parts of the single lane dirt road is rutted and could take out the bottom of a low clearance vehicle. The park also recommends 4 wheel drive. I was driving a rental car, a Dodge Journey, 2 wheel drive. I... More

You need to drive nearly three miles up a track to the trailhead. The track is off the road to Scotty's Castle. There is a choice of two walks from the trailhead. If you start walking north and then up into the canyon that's about a 6.5 mile in and out walk. You get as far as a dryfall and... More

This is a one-way drive from the Nevada side ending in the Titus Canyon Narrows parking area. It is an easy off road drive, and you need just a little clearance under your car (I'm a beginner off roader). The first 7 miles of this trail were a little dull. About 2 miles from Red pass though, the trail gets... More
