Lots of chances to see traveling broadway productions, opera and ballet. A grand dame of archecture on Broad Street!

While it was a glorious music hall last century, it has its problems. Many of the seats are barely usable because of bad viewing angles and obstructing pillars. My sister and I recently went to the Academy of Music to see the Pennsylvania Ballet's wonderful production of Handel's "Messiah." A breathtakingly beautiful 19th Century building the likes of which I had only seen in movies! If you love architecture this is a must. There are still the original gas lamps illuminating the experior enntrance! We saw Mozart's "Abduction from the Seraglio" and enjoyed it very much.

Simply a magnificent facility in which to enjoy theatrical and musical presentations.

Excellent tribute to the Beatles. If you are a fan, it is a MUST!
