Weekday tours at 12:30pm are only $10. History of hall, and the unique architecture, see supreme court, mayors speech area, city counsil meeting area, and go up on roof for great view of city.

I've been told that this is the largest building in the world dedicated solely to municipal government, and having walked all the way around it recently, I can believe it. Very stately and impressive. It will never go out of style.

Not sure what makes City Hall a tourist attraction. Theguy who plays the sax in the middle of the courtyard is cool but other than that...hmmm.

Don't bother going inside though... unless things have changed in recent years, it's pretty nasty..

Dirty and very noisy. Also hard to visit with all the traffic. The tower is also often closed.

This obvious phallus was once also he tallest building in the entire world...for like an entire year...before the Woolworth Building in lower Manhattan changed all that. Best angle to view: from Ben Franklin Parkway at Logan Square's Swann Fountain. See William Penn perched waaaaaaaay up there? Is that what I think it is? Cover the children's eyes, Marvin!!!

All roads lead to City Hall. Well, in center city they sort of do. William Penn stands on the top of City hall and can be spotted from miles away. If you're visiting the city, use it as a landmark to navigate. It's a very historic building and worth a visit by itself. You can also take a tour to... More
