My partner and I went here a few months a go, and had a good time. It was my first time there, and didn't realize how HUGE the place was. You cannot see everything in the museum in one day, its massive. A lot to see, and very fascinating. I would recommend it if you have the time. more

This museum is a must when visiting Philadelphia. Go early in the morning, or late in the day to avoid the crowds. Allow at least a few hours to explore both the inside and outside of this gorgeous museum. If you plan on visiting the new Perelman Building (there is a free shuttle that can take you there, but you... more

First off the building is gorgeous and for that large of a museum, it was surprisingly easy to navigate. The stairs that Rocky ran up are there to amuse you as they did me. Rocky's statue is off to side of the museum a bit (that's where our taxi let us off) where you can pose and entertain yourself even... more

Now to start this off, let me inform you: I have traveled to Europe and visited some of the best museums in the world known to man. For example, the Louvre. So when I took a trip to the art museum in Philly, I didn't expect anything great. I mean how could this museum, possibly be better the the Louvre?... more

Visited the museum several times. Recently viewed the Cezanne and Beyond exhibit. The works of art that have been gathered from other museums and private collections are fabulous. Worth a visit. I was impressed by the enormous number of private collections that lent the works to the exhibit. A once in a life time event. more

We recently returned from a day's visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and it was fantastic. For starters, if you can go on a Sunday, I would suggest you do so, since the Sunday admission is "pay what you wish" as compared to the $16.00 admission fee other days. The Museum is actually housed in two separate buildings. Since... more

I spent a very enjoyable afternoon here with my college-age sister. We started off our visit with lunch at the museum's cafe, which had sandwiches, various entrees and an excellent salad and antipasto bar. Definitely recommend stopping here to eat, or try the museum's restaurant. The museum houses an extensive collection, but it is not so huge as to be... more

This is truly a great museum. If nothing else just take a picture with the Rocky statue, run up the steps and experience the dramatic views of Philadelphia. Once inside go see the American artist Thomas Eakins collections. On the European side are all the great artists, Monet, Van Gough, Renoir and others. But what really makes this place great... more
