Although long ago, I so enjoyed sitting near the dock watching my friend in the Bayada Regatta. Everyone should watch a rowing event up close at least once.

Catch Boathouse Row on the way to or from the Art Museum. They're all lit up at night and can be seen from the other side of the river. The azalea gardens in between the boathouse and art museum are nice too.

One of the prettiest places to visit in the city day or night! Lots of runners, walkers, skaters and strollers throughout the day. The night view is spectacular.

Such a lovely area. Cool to see the college rowing teams. These are very special boat houses; one right after another. At night they light them all up and the view from across the river is nothing less than spectacular. If you are in the area take a few hours to walk around and note the satues surrounding the houses,... More

I like boathouse row for running... it's a straight forward path and many other joggers are around so I feel safe.

On a pleasant day, it is worthwhile to walk along the river past the various boathouses. They are interesting but, even more so, the walk through this portion of the Park is a pleasure. The view of the lighted houses at night is one often seen in pictures and is best observed from the other side of the river.

Makes for a lovely picture, it is all lit up. During the day it is neat to see the rowers.

It is worth a trip to Fairmount Park, just to see the lovely old buildings that are being used for boathouses. The old architecture on these boathouses is simply exquisite!
