The visitor center is a nice place to start for the novice. The staff is very informative and it is a good base if you are not sure what to do first. The park itself is lovely and well preserved. You can see what it must have looked like 150 years ago. The shop at the visitor center is nice...

The movie, cyclorama, and museum are top notch. Do not miss this.
A modern, first-class museum that captures the sprit of this momentous battle and chapter in American history. A beautifully produced film sets the stage for your tour, and the Cyclorama is a staggering work of art that depicts the fierce fighting. The displays are colorful and informative; this is what a museum should be!
