This was a waste of money. Very small and not much to see for the money. The worker was nice is the only good thing I can say.

It was neat to see the jail from the opening scenes of "The Goonies" but there was very little historical information about the building posted, and the scanners that run the film production sets were all not working when we were there. Thankfully, our tickets were free with our B&B room, so it wasn't a monetary loss.

The building is really cute as the old jail. The museum has a couple fun moments, but it's small. Don't expect too much, but it's quaint. A little pricey.

Great stop, especially if you're a Goonies fan! Inside the old jail house, you can read about movies filmed in Oregon and play with real movie set equipment.

We had fun touring through this museum which is actually the old Astoria Jail and where they filled the Goonies jail scenes. Fun, interactive film equipment and green screens to create your own Goonies Movie moments.

This museum is housed in the old county jail that is featured in Goonies. Most of the movie stuff they have in the museum is from Goonies, though they do have a few things from other films. The place is tiny and is not worth what you pay to get in.

It was fun to learn how movies are made and what goes on behind the scenes.

We arrived at the Oregon Film Museum only 20 minutes before they closed, but we really wanted to see it so we decided to pay the $4 admission price anyway. It turns out that the museum is just two small rooms and a couple of jail cells, one of which you can go into. The jail cells were the most... More

I have heard and read a lot about this Museum and although it wasn't open when I've tried to visit, the building itself is cool and I plan to catch it on another trip. The museum is in the old county jail in Astoria, which was in a movie itself. The Goonies was filmed in Astoria so the town itself... More

My boyrfriend and I went to Astoria earlier this month. We were very excited about seeing the Oregon Film Museum while we there, since a large number of films or scenes from films have been shot in Oregon. Unfortunately the name "Oregon Film Museum" is a complete misnomer! There is next to nothing there that is not about the "Goonies"... More
